Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Infrastructure & Housing, the Executive Assistant is responsible to provide the essential administrative executive office support services for the office of  Infrastructure & Housing and coordination of activities for the Infrastructure & Housing Branch.  Responses to address financial and administrative issues and concerns regarding programs and service delivery as provided by Opaskwayak Cree Nation Infrastructure & Housing Branch.

Some Duties Include:

  • Responsible for clerical and secretarial duties of the Executive Director of Infrastructure & Housing
  • Opening, sorting, and distributing incoming faxes, emails, and other correspondence
  • Research, analyze, compile, and maintain background information
  • Reading and analyzing incoming memos, submissions, and distributing them as needed.
  • Filing and retrieving records, documents, and reports.
  • Manages a regular and bring forward system to ensure deadlines are met
  • Maintains minutes for the Infrastructure & Housing Board
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Performs related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration or combination of education and training combined
  • At least two (2) years related experience in office administration
  • Must have a Valid Class V Manitoba Driver’s License and vehicle
  • Must have proficient office skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must have experience in minute taking.
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Ability to speak the Cree language is an asset
