Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Infrastructure & Housing, the Executive Assistant is responsible to provide the essential administrative executive office support services for the office of Infrastructure & Housing and coordination of activities for the Infrastructure & Housing Branch. Responses to address financial and administrative issues and concerns regarding programs and service delivery as provided by Opaskwayak Cree Nation Infrastructure & Housing Branch.
Some Duties Include:
- Responsible for clerical and secretarial duties of the Executive Director of Infrastructure & Housing
- Opening, sorting, and distributing incoming faxes, emails, and other correspondence
- Research, analyze, compile, and maintain background information
- Reading and analyzing incoming memos, submissions, and distributing them as needed.
- Filing and retrieving records, documents, and reports.
- Manages a regular and bring forward system to ensure deadlines are met
- Maintains minutes for the Infrastructure & Housing Board
- Provide general administrative support
- Performs related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration or combination of education and training combined
- At least two (2) years related experience in office administration
- Must have a Valid Class V Manitoba Driver’s License and vehicle
- Must have proficient office skills (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must have experience in minute taking.
- Criminal Record Check
- Ability to speak the Cree language is an asset
